Due to business growth, we have an amazing opportunity available for an Engineering Manager. This position will establish a team environment where our associates can thrive and delight our customers. How? By leading a technical team in pursuit of world class safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role will participate in and lead projects and initiatives in support of plant-wide breakthrough goals!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead departmental planning, prioritization, and employee engagement to drive the functional excellence of the Engineering team

  • Support business strategy in advising, identifying, and leading critical projects to drive improved state of quality, efficiency, or safety

  • Manage projects from initial feasibility through to successful completion using detailed validation protocols and mechanical change control

  • Oversee new product introduction, material changes, and process introduction

  • Transition R&D concepts and trials into stable production processes

  • Implement cost savings via process improvements and waste reduction initiatives

  • Generate production documentation including specifications, training and maintenance guidelines

  • Be a critical part in the mitigation, and solving, of unplanned and sophisticated issues

  • Collaborate with multi-functional departments and global teams in order to lead, develop, validate, and implement engineering projects and programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biochemical, Process Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent by experience. A Master's degree in a related subject is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of filtration, media production, and functional chemistry applications

  • Demonstrated team creation, leadership and development

  • Experience in implementation of continuous improvement practices, including the utilization of appropriate lean tools.

  • Experience in executing process validation protocols and collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality.

  • Understanding production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information about the process of a manufacturing site to determine ways that processes can be refined to make manufacturing, or delivery of services, more efficient.
