Danaher Corporation Sr. Project Manager (Operations Strategy, CapEx) in Putnam, Connecticut
The Senior Project Manager will be a seasoned practitioner of continuous improvement and must have an understanding of project management with the ability to apply those to a complex environment. In addition, the successful candidate must have proven experience working in operational leadership positions. Candidate must also have proven track record of building followership across diverse teams. For successful leaders, this role has runway to more senior leadership opportunities across the Life Sciences Platform and Danaher.
This position will be ON-SITE at either Deland, FL or Cortland, NY or Putnam, CT.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure effective and robust project delivery across new and in-flight projects, supporting the organization to deliver our strategy.
Collaborate, influence, and hold accountable cross-functional project teams to ensure projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Take ownership of the full project life cycle - successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for multiple projects simultaneously.
Establish and drive the achievement of Project KPIs through the adoption of Danaher Business Systems tools and Global Ops PMO Standard Work/Methodology.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Educational background will include an undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or business
Prefer 5 years of experience in project management and/or operations leadership positions.
Develop and effectively communicate project risks, progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, leadership steering team, and executive-level key partners.
Ability to escalate appropriately, to lead through project ambiguity, and to mentor and develop less experienced PMs.
Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement on standard methodologies and tools.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Demonstrated ability to lead an organization through significant change; ability to inspire continuous focus on key business drivers, as well as the Company’s mission/values.
