Danaher Corporation Sales Manager - Histology Instruments in Raleigh, North Carolina

As an LBS associate, you’ll help develop solutions that enable accurate diagnoses to turn anxiety into answers.

Major Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed region’s quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals

  • Provide the direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for direct sales representatives. Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of associates

  • Recruit, develop, and train sales representatives and specialists with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards.

  • Forecast monthly revenue projections utilizing the company CRM (Salesforce.com)

  • Drive standard work to funnel management process in CRM (Salesforce.com)

  • Develop, solidify and maintain high-level relationships within key accounts (including NA Top 10) in assigned geography; these relationships should include Senior Hospital Management (C-Suite), Laboratory Administration, Department of Pathology, Purchasing and/or Materials Management, Contracts Administration and other key departments and/or personnel

  • Achieve and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance

Required Education, Experience, Skills

Education: BA/BS Degree

Experience/ Skills:

  • 5-7 years relevant sales experience

  • Prior management experience (external candidates only)

  • Prior capital sales experience

  • Contract negotiation/high level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Internal Candidate Requirements:

  • Promotion - P3/P4 GCRF level applicant:

  • Perform 90%+ to quota 2 out of 3 years (Within year is year to date)

  • 18 months in role (or business justification)

  • Must complete People Leader Development Program

  • Lateral Move - M2 GCRF level applicant:

  • Perform 85%+ to quota year to date

  • 18 months in role (or business justification)

  • Requires Sales Director approval

Desired Education, Experience, Skills

Education: Degree in Life Sciences or Master’s Degree in Business/MBA

Professional Experience:

  • Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology experience preferred

Travel:

  • 50-75%

  • Must Possess a valid Driver’s license

  • Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings

Language: English
