We are looking for a Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) to provide support to the Commercial function in North America, and to functional leaders through coaching, training, and project leadership to enable process improvements and sustainment of stronger results.

The Commercial DBS Leader, Americas has the following responsibilities:

  • Drive the DBS commercial engine through the thoughtful use of DBS tools as appropriate for the Americas region to accelerate core growth and price growth realization - align, unleash and execute. See more of the market. Win more of the markets. Expand in new markets.

  • Build DBS capability within the Growth Commercial and Fundamental pillars to ensure long term sustainment using the commercial growth equation, HVC, Commercial Playbook and SCR to identify improvement opportunities within commercial and drive action plans for the prioritized improvement areas.

  • Partner with Regional VP/GM to identify and prioritize areas of improvement in commercial effectiveness

  • Partnership with Commercial leadership in assessment of capability and competency to determine DBS growth priorities and emerging needs within the region

  • Work with Americas Commercial leadership on growth vision strategy development and facilitate execution for the region

  • Architect the DBS Plan inclusive of prioritized DBS funnel and CP development plan to achieve the regional growth strategy, priorities, initiatives and plans.

  • Facilitate deployment and improvement of DBS growth commercial execution systems, processes, standard work and tools including growth planning, operating reviews, growth room.

  • Facilitate the kaizen process including kaizen funnel development, prioritization, resourcing, activation, execution and sustainment.

  • Engage with regional DBS leaders to understand and improve regional best practices

  • Schedule, charter, and facilitate kaizen projects. Ensure effective sustainment of results and support problem solving as needed to close gaps to targets.

  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (DBSO, DHR DBSO, outside sources). Improve DBS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years of lean/six-sigma/DBS management experience

  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred

  • Direct experience in working with commercial organizations to drive visibility and win-rate across end-markets

  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership with ability to work execute across boundaries and matrices

  • Track record of analyzing complicated issues, synthesizing salient points, developing action plans and executing for results

  • History of attracting, developing, and retaining talent through effective feedback, coaching and succession planning to support business growth and associate development

  • Domestic and internal travel required – 20%
