The Weekend Shift (6:00AM – 5:30PM Saturday & Sunday) Operations Supervisor for Leica Biosystems is responsible for leading and managing the Wax Department. This is a working supervisor role.
This position is part of the Operations team located in Richmond, IL and will be fully on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Operations Leadership Team and report to the Sr. Director of Operations responsible for both day-to-day results and delivery of strategic line improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Deliver critical cell targets, including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity
Own the continuous improvement (DBS) culture for the value stream, including owning Daily Management, Problem-Solving Process (PSP),
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in an FDA or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment and previous people leadership experience
Familiarity leading and facilitating lean manufacturing Kaizen events (Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Standard Work, etc.) with sustained results
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in leading high-performance teams in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of business systems, engineering, manufacturing, and financial systems
Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and provides focus to team to ensure alignment on the critical few
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
