We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process innovation and ideation for capital investment opportunities and lead the execution of the equipment installation and validation. You will get to use your agile mindset, thirst for challenging work, and related professional experience to make important contributions to the vision and strategy for the Engineering team.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
Identify capital investment opportunities for Operations and contribute to the development of a 5-year strategic investment roadmap
Lead business case development for capital investment projects, ranging from $50k to $3m
Manage capital investment projects from ideation through execution; lead a cross-functional team to achieve the project objectives
Design new manufacturing processes through analyzing product specifications, completing detailed design specifications, and collaborating with equipment manufacturers
Execute process validation (e.g., FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) and corresponding validation deliverables (e.g., Risk Management, Management of Change, SOPs, etc.)
Support Research & Development during new product development and provide facilitate design transfer of new products into the production environment
Integrate Environment, Health, and Safety requirements into projects and daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all associates
Integrate Quality requirements into manufacturing products and processes; forecast and mitigate quality risks throughout project lifecycle
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
B.S. Degree in Engineering, degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
5 to 8 years engineering experience in a regulated industry
Experience in capital investment project management, including business case development and capital project execution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD programs
Basic understanding of quality systems, e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485
Ability to lead and prioritize concurrent projects; acts with agility to changing circumstances
Willingness to understand internal customers’ expectations and needs (e.g. spending time on the manufacturing floor to understand issues, going to Gemba)
Ability to leverages technical expertise to analyze complex problems to drive to root cause analysis and resolution
