Danaher Corporation Medical Diagnostics - Business Development Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Role and Responsibilities

BASIC PURPOSE

The Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing and building executive level relationships and leveraging them in driving new profitable sales opportunities.

The Business Development Manager will work on strategic opportunities across the kingdom.

Geography

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Expected Travel and Time Management

50% of time is dedicated to visit the governmental, semi-governmental and private accounts within Saudi Arabia.

Product Line

Diagnostics: Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, IRIS & Microbiology businesses

Job Requirements Include:

Strategic Account Management

  • Work with the General Manager to drive execution of the STRAT Plan

  • To focus on large initiatives that helps capture market share and supports the Growth in Saudi Arabia

  • To establish relationships with the Key decision makers and KOL s at the C level within Saudi

  • To gather intelligence and be knowledgeable of the existing contracts in the market and the upcoming tender opportunities

  • To promote the OTL business model and customize business solutions, reagent deals, OTL, GPPRR for the accounts

  • Establish and build deep understanding of account needs, stakeholders and competitive situation

  • Analyze impact of market trends and factors on customers

  • Work closely with the GM and sales manager into closing large tenders or Direct purchase opportunities

  • Establish robust relationships with the CPs and encourage our CPs to sustain investment in HW to be able to expand the market in both direct and indirect model

Market Segments related Initiatives:

  • Supports the GM on strategic opportunities initiated through the local entity.

  • Engage with marketing and product management teams in relation to new products launch

  • Supports Product management team and Application teams to drive menu expansion

  • Engage with the different stakeholders to secure BC share in the PPP projects

  • Works closely with DHR Gov. Affairs to understand the new MOH business model to be able to lead and anticipate change, for the benefit of the entity.

  • Cooperate with team on specific projects i.e the DXC replacement plan

  • Work closely with the Key Accounts Manager of the MOH and the Medical supplies to leverage quantities on existing TLA and newly installed ones

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Knowledge / Experience Required

  • B. Sc. Degree in the medical field.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Saudi market is a must / 10 years as a minimum

  • Previous experience in a similar role or Business development

  • Excellent connection with key opinion leaders in Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO)

  • Prior experience in the medical devices/Equipment industry 10 years at least.

  • Good understanding of the financials and P&L management

  • Experience in a Lab environment and Diagnostics preferred

  • Fluent in English & Arabic

  • Strong business acumen and attention to details

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Team player with a proven ability to coordinate efforts amongst all stakeholders

  • Proven ability in identifying market opportunities and capturing market share

  • Good analytical skills
