Provide strategic definition, inventory management expertise, direction and hands-on involvement for inventory reduction and control. Identify breakthrough activities, resource them appropriately and apply Kaizen activities as needed. Obtain, analyze, and prepare reports, problem solving statements, and action plans related to continuous improvement opportunities for inventory reduction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and deployment of an annual comprehensive and prioritized inventory control strategy for the department.
Engage and enlist all associates in this process as well as in the commitment to excellence by communicating appropriate business needs and information in a timely manner.
Conduct and maintain current Danaher’s Problem Solving process for the department.
Construct, maintain, and champion a prioritized action plan
Provide leadership in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at significant inventory reductions across Hach Loveland’s Components department. Examples of related activities include:
Create and deploy across the department action plans, root cause and countermeasures to eliminate excess inventory.
Initiate and/or facilitate projects, DMP, or Kaizen events to eliminate waste, create poka-yoke processes and improve visual management.
Assess and improve KanBan implementation, planning processes and inventory management processes to maximize product flow throughout the facility.
Ensure standard work is being followed within the department specifically related to transactions affecting inventory.
Serve as a source for information and technical assistance related to inventory and order management within Oracle.
Closely monitors inventory levels to ensure effective management
Work with Operations teams to maximize the effectiveness of Kanban systems
Opimize kanban execution using PSI process for various products during seasonal effects.
Obtain, analyze and synthesize data to assist in defining the department’s inventory problems and opportunities. Examples of related activities include:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to analyze related KPI data.
Obtain data that identifies excess inventory including-excess KanBan, excess purchasing (MRP) and excess production.
Provide data for gaps to goals for each areas of business.
Monitor and manage the availability of materials, equipment, resources.
OTHER NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in achieving Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives.
Participates in daily Gemba.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
4 years’ experience in inventory control to include cycle counts, project management, identifying root cause and countermeasures, plan for every part, etc.
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a similar area.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and management levels.
Computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, enterprise systems, presentation programs, etc.
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
Excellent presentation skills.
Working knowledge of quality principles and tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, control charts, and other quality methodologies).
Working knowledge of the Toyota Production System (Danaher Business System).
Data and Fact-Based problem-solving skills, Lean Mfg./6 sigma knowledge desired
