Danaher Corporation Receiving Coordinator in Romeoville, Illinois
As the Receiving associate, your primary role is to receive stock, verify and transact materials to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials into the facility. This position is also intended to assist Material Handler III with material presentation and transactions as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unload and sort incoming freight utilizing manual and power equipment
Will work 25-50% of the time in non-controlled temperature areas.
Receives/Transacts all raw materials, parts, and/or finished goods. Verifies versus pack lists/truck bills and/or work orders for accuracy.
Inspects all incoming materials for conformance to standards and to identify any visible damage to products. Communication with Purchasing Department to report any material discrepancies.
Work in conjunction with Purchasing department to verify and complete orders so that quality and on time delivery metrics are met.
Work with Quality Department to ensure compliance is meet regarding incoming and outgoing items.
Responsible for accurately entering data into software systems. Will maintain quality records and traceability.
Follow all company Safety guidelines and utilize Personal Protective Equipment.
Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
May be asked to participate in continuous improvement projects in the department and/or across the facility.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Working Under Pressure
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in tasks must be completed in a timely manner. Must be able to quickly problem solve issues to customer orders.
In this role you will be responsible for working with others to complete daily tasks. A successful candidate would be someone that is willing to help others with their work and be flexible in being asked to do different job tasks throughout the day.
In this role it is critical that the associate is able to effectively communicate both written and verbal with different parts of the company. The associate should be able to communicate issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
1 or more years material handling or equivalent experience preferred
Must have basic math skills
Computer and keyboard experience required.
Experience in using manual or power equipment to move materials (i.e. pallet jack, aerial lift, etc.)
Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy for counting parts, inspecting parts and solving inventory problems.
Must be able to work with frequent interruptions.
Must have strong understanding of ERP and transactional processes.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
