The Digital Marketing Strategist is a digital marketing expert that will be responsible for establishing and sustaining key digital marketing capabilities within the Pall Life Sciences business units. This role will work closely with the Global Demand Generation teams to provide and drive actionable digital marketing recommendations. This role will take on and share some of the responsibility to execute the strategy. This role will not have direct reports but will influence the work of others via a digital marketing center of excellence (CoE).
The Digital Marketing Strategist hosts workshops, regular CoE meetings, 1:1 brain storming and occasional Kaizens to empower stakeholders to continually improve their digital marketing results. This role will help grow revenue from digital channels by 10-15% in 2021.
Lead the creation, improvement, and deployment of digital marketing processes, standard methodologies and playbooks. Key priority areas are:

Produce a regular cadence for proactive recommendations to drive conversion rate optimization and user experience optimization
Drive process excellence and process installations for digital marketing teams across strategic business units and geographic regions around the world
Empowers stakeholders with the knowledge, tools, and enablement necessary to foster digital marketing excellence
Approach issues with a can-do, roll-up your sleeves attitude to get the work done
Be the curator of the center of knowledge for digital marketing, build library of resources, and share across the organization. Engage marketing leaders and associates through webinars and outbound communication plans and other activities to push and inspire their thinking and results
Evaluates key business challenges within digital marketing; directs the development of new or innovative solutions
Educate stakeholders on standard methodologies in digital marketing effectiveness and provide real time assessments and guidance on how to optimize results
Identify, establish, and manage partnerships with external vendors to execute strategies and improvement initiatives, as necessary
Work with digital marketing and demand generation organizations to develop and manage a program of growth initiatives to achieve key organizational strategic projects and goals
Train and install foundational capabilities in Policy Deployment (PD), Action Planning, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management. Work with central and regional organizations to create KPI bowlers and Visual Management to sustain digital marketing process improvement.
Work with Global Demand Generation teams to install and drive daily management (DM) and problem-solving processes (PSP) to find root cause and countermeasures for driving growth.
Connect training and insights to business objectives. Schedule, charter, and facilitate kaizen projects. Ensure effective sustainment of countermeasures and support problem solving as needed to close gaps to targets.
Directly provide formal and informal digital marketing training and coaching. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (DBS). Pursue certification in DBS tools for yourself and others.
Scope and Impact of Position Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Strategist reports to the Director, Global Digital Marketing Optimization and has a direct impact on the success of Pall with respect to demand generation growth by facilitating the successful implementation and sustainability of digital marketing excellence. The Digital Marketing Strategist shapes strategy and focuses execution to optimize returns from digital marketing operations.
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in digital marketing and/or commercial positions, including at least two years in demand generation
Digital Marketing expertise with thorough understanding of the relationship between people, processes, and technology to drive growth. Digital Marketing certifications, a plus
Marketing Automation Certifications (Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, etc)
Experience influencing others and developing capabilities in individuals or teams
Experience working in global environments, particularly in high growth markets
Experience in project management, functional knowledge of digital enterprise resource planning and digital maturity modeling
Track record of managing business stakeholders and working with project managers through business change for a significant enterprise applications area
Excellent verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to present and discuss business, application and gains understanding
Hands-on approach with attention to detail, but also able to see the big picture
Strategic problem solver and view the business from a general management standpoint. Should be able to connect on a meaningful level and have strong interpersonal communications skills
Be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations
