Danaher Corporation Global Strategic Account Manager in San Diego, California

The Global Strategic Account Manager is critical to Pall's Biotech business to attain and exceed our strategic objectives. The Global Strategic Account Manager will network with executive decision makers at Global account level to drive and support business development and positive customer relationship.He/she will develop and execute a global account management plan, negotiate contracts, grow wallet share and strategic growth funnel opportunities.In addition, he/she will add value by interpreting internal/external business challenges and by sharing best practices to improve products, processes or services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow Pall revenue and profits though accelerating % share of spend and level of drug specification at global strategic accounts

  • Engage customer C-suites, and top-level manufacturing and process development as strategic partners

  • Network at the executive level with C-suite decision makers at global accounts to drive business development and positive customer relationships

  • Ensure that Pall is providing highest level of “customer first” value to position us as preferred supplier/partner – OTD, Quality, Technical support, product application, and customer return on investment

  • Win specification on drug pipelines and platforms by prioritizing resources and focusing use of global Product Management, R&D, SLS/BPS, and field technical capabilities

  • Develop and execute global account management plan both individually and with available Pall resources, including local/geographical commercial representation; negotiate contracts, grow wallet share and strategic WTS growth funnel opportunity, grow total solutions business around new builds and capacity expansion, provide customer access to new products via Pall R&D efforts

  • Provide direction, coaching, and leadership on business strategy implementation to field-based regional sales, account management, regional management, and technical teams to drive global account strategic plan

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or business management

  • 10+ years’ experience with large regional or global account management, preferably in Biotech

  • Understanding of business financials along with ability to lead cross-functional teams while providing compelling value propositions to customer

  • Thorough understanding of contract law, T&C’s, IP considerations

Requirements:

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership to drive organization to successfully implement overall customer strategy

  • Thorough understanding of selling across multiple cultures; excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to lead and influence individuals who are not direct reports

  • Ability to sell internally and externally at all levels to all disciplines

  • Thorough understanding of Pall technology and applications

  • Global Travel – 25%
