Establishes and maintains the accounting reporting and practices for the organization. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review vital journal entries for accurately stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP) and company policy. May perform bookkeeping or account management duties. Includes accounts payable, cost accounting, cash management and Controllers responsible for only accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare monthly journal entries and verifies accurate accounts and amounts are entered correctly.
Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts monthly along with supporting schedules. Search unreconciled items
Responsible for maintaining fixed assets and CAR process. Take a role in annual PI.
Assist with monthly CoStar lease management system. Co-ordinate new lease agreements are entered and verified in the system.
Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual STAT reporting to corporate.
Assists with annual SOX test, internal and external audits along with corporate balance sheet reviews.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned by management
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required. BA required. MBA/CPA/CMA preferred
A minimum of 3 years of finance, analysis is required
Prior experience with ERP system is a plus – Oracle
Intermediate to advanced skill level using Excel and proficient in all other Microsoft products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others
Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the company
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to be detailed oriented and accurate
Focus on continuous improvements with a proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Requires enough English skills to understand and compose correspondence
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and come to valid conclusions
