Introduction to the role:
As the Warehouse Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for coaching, motivating, and leading the warehouse employees to accomplish the productivity goals for the day and establishing a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently. This role is a floor position that will require 95% of the workday spent in the receiving warehouse. Your team is made up of 4-5 FTE and SAW material handlers. This role will require you to create a climate in which people want to do their best; empowers others; invites input from each person; makes each individual feel his/her work is important; is someone people like working for and with.
Essential job responsibilities:
Provides daily direction and leadership to material handlers.
Accountable for staffing, training, motivation and leadership.
Ensure audit readiness 24x7. Readily takes action to implement effective countermeasures and monitor sustainment of audit findings.
Ensure 5S readiness 24x7 and promote 5S activities to sustain warehouse organization and safety.
Graveyard shift 10pm- 7am, rotating days, includes weekend and holiday work, moving to 3 x 12 hour shifts
- High school degree with 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
Knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of the safety and legal documentation processes for handling related warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL)
Certified, or ability to be certified on all forklift equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SAP or other ERP software
Experience in FDA or ISO regulated environment is highly desired
Excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities
