We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Technician who will be responsible for assembling, testing, and debugging breadboard and prototype systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Operating and maintaining test systems.
Managing the fabrication and assembly of custom PCAs; BOMs and ECOs for all PCAs and cables; and component inventory.
Documenting work using PC and Microsoft Tools, as well as specifications for purchased electronic and electrical components.
Training Manufacturing personnel for system assembly and test.
Soldering, wiring, building cable assemblies, and assembling subsystems into a prototype system.
Applying research and principles of engineering to the planning, design, development, documentation, and testing/debugging of a variety of instruments, equipment, systems and/or software.
The required qualifications for the job include:
Associates degree with 6+ years of experience. 10+ years of prior experience in a related field is preferred.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and requirements.
Demonstrated experience with electronics assembly techniques, including Solder Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) with surface mount and thru-hole components, design cable assemblies from circuit board schematics, and cable assemblies.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Being methodical, detail-oriented, independent, resourceful, and flexible.
Using basic electronic test equipment such as voltmeters, digital multimeters, and scopes.
Semiconductors, life sciences, and/or manufacturing equipment.
