The Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with designated client groups to recommend, implement, and support strategies, solutions, and programs to enhance the effectiveness of managers and the productivity and engagement of associates. The incumbent will help optimize working relationships among teams and leaders; link human resources strategies to business objectives; ensure compliance with all labor laws and code of conduct policies; counsel and advise management on a variety of topics related to human resources and performance management; involved in the design and implement training, and organizational design and communication support.

Talent Acquisition – For clients supported, drives talent acquisition process aligned with standard work, evaluating business need and scoping role, working with recruiters on sourcing and selection process, offer and onboarding processes. Drives all recruitment process metrics for client group utilizing daily management and problem-solving processes (PSP) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Influences manager to be accountable to fill positions within targets, trains on process and ensures onboarding process is effective for new associates.

Organizational Changes- Partner with leaders on evaluating organizational changes within their teams to improve efficiency and delivery, developing business cases, and communication planning and delivery. May participate or lead organization design activities. Advise and lead change management efforts aligned to client group business objectives.

Global People Processes- May serve as Point of Contact or Program Lead for one or more global people processes such as engagement survey, Performance for Growth, compensation, etc. Will serve as liaison to Danaher corporate team; educate and align MolDev HR team to processes; customize delivery to best satisfy MolDev business needs; effectively manage action plan; build followership and buy-in across the organization; and meet delivery targets and objectives.

Metrics and Reporting – As a member of the team, completes monthly HR reports and metrics assigned, keeping visual management/daily management boards current. Analysis and utilizes information to take appropriate measures for improvement should KPI’s stray from goals. May create presentations, detailed analysis, and develop recommendations for improvement in opportunity areas.

Performance Management - Support the annual Performance for Growth processes including communication, systems knowledge and support, trains new managers on tools and process. Guides managers through the performance improvement process, providing counsel to administer corrective action and conducting lawful terminations as needed. Proactively engages with leaders on evaluating, coaching and enhancing development plans of associates, evaluating broader development needs within the organization and recommending solutions.

Engagement and Retention– Partner with leaders to improve associate engagement, tracking progress on engagement and action planning; track and monitor associate turnover, identification of hot spot/watch list areas; using PSP to understand root cause; and working with management to develop effective countermeasures. Regular coach and counsel managers in enhancing their own leadership skills, addressing concerns, and improving on opportunities to develop high performing work teams.

Training – Deliver effective training and communications on people processes, leadership development programs, etc. Facilitate team enhancement and intervention methods and tools as needed to support client groups.

Associate Relations –Respond to employee concerns, conducts investigations, and guides managers in improving issues or concerns. Works with legal to investigate and document Speak Up complaints.

Compensation – Supports base and variable pay processes for client groups; provides guidance to managers on compensation policies and practices. Provides guidance to managers on job description, job leveling and pay recommendations at the time of hire, promotion/enhancement, and annual cycles.

Continuous Improvement- Apply DBS tools like Kaizen to improve existing processes. Problem Solve on those areas which are not reaching expected levels of performance through KPI which may include

  • BA/BS degree required, certification or advanced degree beneficial
  • 5-8 years of professional level HR experience in a multinational, matrix organization required. May accept less experience with an advanced degree. Prior HR business partner experience required.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and experience in investigations, compensation, and employee relations practices.
  • Previous experience leading processes or projects with demonstrated success in managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Solid systems experience required including intermediate Excel and MS office skills. Workday experience a plus.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset and experience is essential.
