What you'll do

  • Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for mainly around cash, payables, intercompany transactions, and tax.

  • Ensure Controllership & Compliance of all Finance Activities & Documentation within Local Statutory, Danaher business practices, policies & requirements

  • Perform financial analysis of balance sheet accounts prepared by our service providers to ensure US GAAP compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes

  • Perform and comply with Statutory activities

  • Partner with Finance Services team, Operations and Commercial for LATAM to support Regional demands

  • Establish close connection with Global Controllership to guarantee alignment with Global Standards

  • Ensure timely and defect-free account reconciliations, ensuring compliance within SOPs and business/company policies

  • Partner with internal and external auditors. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / risk management

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in finance

  • 2-3 years in an accounting role

  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Clear thinking / problem solving: able to partner in cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to grasp new ideas quickly

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, & Macros).

  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  • Fluent in Portuguese and Advanced English (Spanish is a plus)
