The Business Acumen and Insights Training Manager will support the development and implementation of the business acumen/ownership education process for North America and Canada, thereby resulting in better sales processes and outcomes. This training professional will utilize adult learning, analytical and operational expertise to partner with sales leadership to drive strategic goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the planning, implementation and management of business acumen educational training workshops

  • Support process improvements in the current training process

  • Identify needs for business acumen skills improvement

  • Support the team in executing an operationally-sound training plan

  • Manage to objectives and KPIs given to the team around training development and trainee feedback

  • Play a key role in cross-functional POD meetings across sales training functions

  • Try and evaluate various training methods and strategies

  • Keep abreast of latest sales training trends and best practices

Key Competencies

  • Internal and Field Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on business objectives and the action plan to achieve them.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate a strategic approach to achieve business objectives by asking strategic questions, aligning resources, developing an action plan, and evaluating action plan results.

  • Analytics: Maintain subject matter expertise with service and sales data sources, tools, and applies this expertise to deliver high quality data and actionable insights to achieve business objectives.

  • Process: Consistently implements all operations protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions

Accountability

  • Foster a strong collaborative culture

  • Provide strong collaboration and project management skills

  • Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of critical-path progress and variances from plan

  • Serve as a liaison between sales, service, marketing, finance, IT, etc.

  • Support all phases of critical projects

  • Proactively communicate

  • Ensure processes are simplified and easy to understand and execute

Essential Requirements:

  • 9+ years’ experience with a Bachelors or 7+ years’ experience with a Masters degree.

  • 5 or more years’ of related sales training experience.

  • Clear understanding and/or application knowledge of CRM’s; preferably with SFDC.

  • Experience managing projects and/or vendors

  • Ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Field sales experience.

  • Incentive compensation, field reporting, customer segmentation, field force sizing and business planning.

  • Diagnostics industry experience.

  • Knowledge of reporting and data analytics tools like Excel, SAS, Power BI, Quikview, Spotfire, Tableau, Business objects
