The Senior Strategic Proposals Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for working closely with the other members of the Strategic Proposals team, with the sales team and with designated subject matter experts throughout the organization to successfully support completing multi-discipline RFP responses. You will leverage your knowledge and experience to respond competitively to RFPs in terms of proposed configuration, technical and company information, and value proposition.

This position is part of the North America Commercial Operations organization and can be a 100% remote position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with Strategic Proposals Managers to create highly accurate and robust RFPs through a solid understanding of company products, pricing guidelines, and tools on assigned RFPs and regions.

  • Assist in continually developing, innovating, and managing an RFP response database with sophistication and applicability to multiple types of RFPs. Assist in maintaining content in the database based on input from the Strategic Proposals team, business units, marketing and other groups and systems throughout the company.

  • Develop the expertise to act as a resource for RFIs to complex and high-value inquiries.

  • Develop a working knowledge on both RFP data management and content development appropriate to answer questions. This includes recognizing the real needs of the customer and insight into providing a right-sized proposal.

  • Collaborate closely with members of the sales, marketing, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely.

  • Work with all Beckman Coulter Product lines, with the support of the strategic proposals team, on assigned RFP requests of various size and complexity. This role is expected to be focused on regional health systems and IDN deals. Collaborate with other bid teams that support VISNs, GPOs, and Government RFP.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years Or Master’s Degree and 5 years of experience required.

  • Background in Proposals and RFP development through sales experience (preferably in laboratory instrument sales) or equivalent RFP / Strategic Proposals experience.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Must possess strong process orientation and project management skills.

  • Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a teamwork mindset that includes coaching, training, teaching, and consulting.

  • Intermediate to Advanced level in Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft products.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Industry experience and expertise in diagnostics, diagnostic instrumentation, laboratory and/or, reagents businesses

  • Negotiation skills are desired
