The Advanced Product Specialist of Cytiva is responsible for cell culture and cell culture medium screening in the cell culture medium development and optimization laboratory.
This position is part of Bioprocess Modality located in Shanghai and work as onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Conduct cell culture, cell culture medium screening and evaluation and develop cell culture process.
Document the experiments and results in lab notebook and contribute to technical reports necessary to support regulatory strategies and filings.
Work closely within the cell culture medium optimization team as well as with global cell culture service team and other functional groups to ensure that key requirements are identified and delivered.
Support technical transfer activities from Cytiva to customers.
Reliably execute and write well defined SOP’s.
Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment and organization of lab space.
Perform all job-related duties in a safe, organized, and efficient manner to assure project requirement and deadline.
The essential requirements of the job include
PhD or MS degree in molecular biology, cell biology, or related fields.
Senior Scientist level requires more than two years of industry experience.
Hands-on experience with cell culture.
Demonstrated scientific approaches in identifying and solving problems.
Strong attention to details.
Experience/understanding of cell culture medium development and optimization is desired.
Able to work both independently and/or collaboratively with other team members when needed.
A strong desire to succeed and to help others to do the same.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Familiar with and cell culture development and optimization.
Have work background in cell culture medium company.
