JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this role in LSN is to provide Technical sales support for the LSN products for Ion Milling, Coater, drying , cryo transfer and freezing for the LSN sales representatives, dealers and agents in NA. This includes, but is not limited to visiting customers with dealer and direct reps, conducting demonstrations, training, participating in local and national and exhibitions, handling telephone inquires, solving applications problems, providing customer feedback and assisting management in their motivational activities, and provide feedback and support to the BU. Financial Responsibility-Include budget or P&L responsibilities Sales Responsibility- Include sales targets for all sales positions * Quota or Sales Revenue targets * Territory Size (number of companies, prospects, clients, or other measurement of territory size RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Insures that customers are satisfied! Must be capable of working effectively with managers, Customer service and service technicians, engineers, accounting ,and all persons necessary to satisfy the customer needs. 2. Perform product demonstrations 3. Conduct technical product training 4. Provide support sales tools for Leica LSN reps to become more effective in selling the products 5. Assists in meeting sales goals for each rep 6. Generates and acts on the feedback on customer preferences, suggestions, product performance and other information to enhance Leica LSN products 7. In conjunction with management works with customers and other experts to generate appropriate field data and application notes or publications which highlight products and help differentiate Leica's products 8. LSN Application specialist must be able to hear questions posed by customers, representatives and delaers on the phone and speak with them to answer these questions. 9. Prepare monthly territory status reports to Manager (including, but not limited to, Target Account Lists, Won/Lost accounts, Forecasts, expense reports and travel calendar. 10. Responsible for a thorough understanding of the Quality management System processes through its policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for and has the authority to communicate all FDA, GMP, and ISO non-compliance issues to management. 11. Maintain current knowledge of competition and market through study of competitive marketing information, competitive literature, and field surveillance of competition 12. They must have all the capabilities to drive and auto and perform medium lifting

_WORK EXPERIENCE: _ * Experience in working with Ion milling, coating, high pressure freezers * Experience with high vacuum instruments

  • Prior Applications or sales experience with (TEM manufacturer or related manufacturer)

  • In depth knowledge of the TEM and SEM market

  • Minimum of 2 years experience

_Education/Certification : _Prefer BA,BS, or MS degree in physics, biology or related scientific field.


  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Systematic analysis

  • Good time management skills

  • Interact as a team member

  • Proficient in computer skills (excel, access, word, powerpoint)

  • Knowledge of Lotus notes and SAP (desirable)
