Danaher Corporation Associate Principal Engineer, Mechanical in Shanghai, China
Area of Responsibilities:
Mechanical design, development, qualification at both individual piece part and system/sub-system assembly level in line with the company NPD & SDCP process and mechanical engineering statement of work.
Lead system level requirement decompose, architecture and detail design/redesign, (product definition, concept and prototype development, verification & validation, design transfer) Analyse the test results and optimize the design as needed, analyse and solve the problems using standard tools.
Cross-function interface to sourcing, operations, quality and service team to ensure the design output meet Dfx (design for manufacture/assembly/testing/cost) and quality goals, as well as external interface to supplier and customers.
Act in accordance with project needs and Leica SOP requirement. On time deliver task assigned.
As the owner for Design update decision making, implementation according to SDCP and coordination with global team
Expert in one mechanical area and can guide & influent other colleagues
Understand customer needs, have own judgement on products upgrade and new generation
Schedule ME task in project, take part in VPM Kaizen as ME owner
Review products quality improvement actions, ensure products PPM target
Lead system design review
Confirm IP FTO, submit IP disclosure
Lead PSP on the products issues from OPS, Quality, GS……
VAVE & PPM funnel build up on product portfolio….
Lead complex system level requirement decompose, architecture and detail design/redesign, integration, debug and test; output DHF
Schedule ME task in project, take part in VPM Kaizan as ME owner
Lead system design view, Kaizan (e.g., PSP)
Confirm IP FTO; Lead patent management (submission, map of LBS and competitors)
