Danaher Corporation Business Controller in Shanghai, China

  • Serve as finance BP for national sales GM and lead finance BP team to partner regional sales GMs and BU leaders to manage regional / BU P&L and cash flow to drive sustainable profitable business growth. Help business wisely utilize investments and resources to maximize growth opportunities and profitability

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and advice on business proposals with action-oriented recommendations and ensure financial discipline in all business decisions

  • Take overall responsibility for pricing management including provincial tender impact tracking, detailed pricing target setting and pricing resource allocation. Provide financial consultation to commercial teams in designing promotional programs to accelerate business growth and ensure solid financial and compliance discipline, provide financial support to price negotiations with distributors during tendering processes

  • Lead team to allocate annual and monthly credit resource to distributor level, well manage national DSO within target; provide financial assessment on distributor credit term application and coach sales teams to improve credit management awareness

  • Lead regional budget and forecast process by conducting comprehensive financial analysis, support business leaders to well foresee the business growth roadmap and proactively identify opportunities and risks

  • Participate in annual contract review process and provide financial consultation on business contract templates including promotional plans, special rebate programs, rental arrangement etc.

  • Continuously drive standard works and process improvements in business related processes including but not limiting to:

  • Provide financial consultation in designing sales incentive plan and special commercial programs;

  • Review and challenge funnel, demand forecast & financial forecast by business

  • Drive improvement and standard work in distributors’ data collection and analysis (via Operations) to gain better visibility to in-market sales trend

  • Lead ad hoc projects in local (e.g. company registration change, transfer pricing, etc.) through coordination with DHR China, China Dx platform, global finance and other external stakeholders)

  • Lead other projects as assigned by the supervisor

  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures

  • Recruit the best, motivate and develop Finance BP team
