What you’ll do

  • Process Development functions, including laboratory oversight, study design development, planning, execution, analysis, documentation, SOP preparation, reporting, and recommendations. Includes development of cell-based biological methods and assays for cell therapy workflows. Identify, evaluate and recommend new and existing technologies to improve workflows. Work with the regional CGT commercial teams to drive commercial opportunities for Process Development (PD) and CMO work.

  • Maintain, further develop, support and teach the CGT CELLT1 course at the Shanghai site. This will involve Marketing efforts, course material/equipment/consumable set-up and design, and working with each individual FastTrak site for course execution.

  • Provide deep subject matter technical expertise across the organization, including strategic guidance and training of technical staff as necessary. Effective communication across the organization and leadership team.

  • Demonstrate continuous integrity, credibility, and positivity, and motivate others to do the same. Continuously grow and adapt in a fast-moving field to keep yourself and the organization at the forefront of the cell and gene therapy and regenerative medicine fields. Act as a role model for collaborative mindset across functions.

  • Establish and maintain close contacts and collaboration with external customers (directly and through sales organization) to build a network of high profile customers by developing advanced applications with them and create or sustain Reference sites. Participate in Industry meetings to build application roadmap and provide input to Product Marketing.

Who you are

  • Minimum MSc or Master's degree in Biological Sciences, PhD preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in the cell therapy laboratory sciences, or related field. GMP experience preferred.

  • Viral vector production knowledge.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Strong analytical and process skills.

  • Strong external teaching skills, both laboratory and lectures.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment

  • Strong knowledge of Cytiva and exceptional knowledge of products and services offered within the CGT.

  • High level presentation and interpersonal skills? able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact that builds effective strategic relationships.

  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels within an organization.

  • Aware of and comply with the Cytiva Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
