What you'll do

The BTG (Biotechnology Group) Greater China CFO has overall financial responsibility for delivering Sales, Margin, Cash and Operating Profit in Greater China. This role requires a close partnership with the commercial and operation organization, supporting region leaders to successfully execute business targets, review and approve commercial contracts from finance perspective and control the overall business budgets including Opex and Operating margin. This role also requires strong controllership knowledge to advise the business internal control, mitigate potential business risks. The candidate will utilize his/her experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals, including the following:

  • Develop the overall financial mechanism in the BTG Greater China such as Ops review, FC review, budgeting review, pricing, VC and BC dashboard, cash forecast and etc.

  • Cost Control and analysis including base cost and variable cost. Drive overall business growth as well as meeting cost commitment.

  • Lead financial planning sessions and analysis for BTG Greater China. Support region leader to ensure best estimates for planning purpose by modeling various FC and budgeting scenarios.

  • Take ownership for pacing input and variance analysis, interact with cross functional teams to understand the key risks and opportunities on both income statement (Sales, CM, base cost, EOP) and balance sheet (CFOA). Provide analysis and action plan to drive gap closure and issue resolutions.

  • Review commercial contracts and ensure business commercial compliance to follow DoA and CCAP process.

  • Advise controllership, closely work with region controllership team and advise appropriate internal control and SOX requirements.

  • Advise & support Greater China statutory tax compliance and lead treasury needs

  • Develop finance pipeline and build a strong finance team to partnership with operation and deliver results.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with solid finance background

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • At least 10 years of experience in a senior financial position

  • FMP, PFLP, CAS, CPA, MBA, EMBA preferred

  • PC proficiency

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

  • Extensive knowledge of GE business operations is preferred

  • Demonstrated team leadership ability

  • Established analytical and project management ability
