What you’ll do

The Diagnostic Design-in FAS is accountable to map out strategy, work with internal sales team and external customers to grow design-in opportunities or projects and revenue for Dx business within the region (China) across Diagnostic product lines or Cytiva Research products (Genomics and Diagnostic Solution, Whatman Lab Filtration Custom).

Key Responsibilities/essential functions include (but are not limited to):Key Performance Indicators

  • Is accountable to drive and grow the Dx funnel opportunities, moving them from an opportunity to design-in projects and revenues.

  • Own relationship with customers, drive the product introduction and trial with customers, troubleshoot and solve technical issues along the way.

  • Key person for technical and application-based presentation for internal sales team and Dx customers.

Other Requirements:

  • To help get our advanced products designed-in into the customer processes by demonstrating our product strengths, helping overcome hurdles & establishing a constructive partnership. These design-in efforts will be focused mainly on offering complete solution using Cytiva products.

  • To provide technical and applications-based support to the sales and marketing teams.

  • To develop customer relationships, identify and translate customer needs into workable solutions that drive business success and revenue growth with focus of design-in our Cytiva Research products into Diagnostic application in mid/long term.

  • Troubleshoot customer issues related to Cytiva Research products and provide solutions where available to support business goals.

  • Work closely with Lab team to help developing customer’s standard protocol or research, solving customer’s technical challenges.

  • Use customer feedback to identify new opportunities and unmet needs in relation to new product proposals and product modifications.

  • Develop and support custom opportunities and be a key point of contact with the customer on technical collaboration opportunities.

  • Team player with ability to share knowledge and standard methodology, activities, success stories across teams/regions.

  • Continuously develop deep scientific and technical knowledge including awareness of current and future trends in Dx market and trends.

  • Continuously update their understanding of the customers changing technical and/or operational issues and challenges.

Who you are

Required Qualifications:

Strong technical background in Genomics, Molecular Diagnostics and immunodiagnostics / Chemiluminescence applications, Next Generation Sequencing and lyophilization. Ability to build technical relationships, internal and external collaborations with industry leading scientists. Experience listening to and discussing technical applications with customers to develop desirable outcomes To work collaboratively across functions and geographies to drive execution Practical experience in design/optimize lateral flow assay, immunodiagnostic and molecular diagnostic assay development with understanding of key performance requirements Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing workflows across multiple platforms Experience working with customers to understand and translate requirements into an effective solution either directly in the laboratory or through R&D scientists Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in biology/biochemistry or immunology or equivalent plus proven experience in molecular biology and/or immunodiagnostics assay fields Good to have: experience in developing/manufacturing LFDs
