Danaher Corporation Director, HR Business Partner in Shanghai, China

The Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning human resource strategies with business objectives to drive performance and growth. This strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of business functions, strong HR expertise, and the ability to influence and drive change. The Director, HRBP will partner with senior leadership and management teams to develop and implement HR solutions that enhance organizational capability and support the achievement of business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Partnership:
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leaders, understanding their business needs and developing HR strategies that support their objectives.

    -Collaborate with business leaders to identify and address organizational and employee-related issues.

  1. HR Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement HR plans and initiatives that align with business strategies and drive organizational effectiveness.

    • Lead key HR projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timelines.

  2. Talent Management:

    • Oversee talent management processes, including succession planning, talent development, and performance management.

    • Work with leaders to identify high-potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for future roles.

  3. Employee Relations:

    • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

      • Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns promptly and effectively.
  4. Change Management:

    • Lead HR aspects of organizational change, including restructures, mergers, and acquisitions.

      • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption.
  5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

    • Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.

    • Partner with leaders to develop and implement programs that foster an inclusive workplace culture.

  6. HR Metrics and Analysis:

    • Utilize HR data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

    • Prepare and present reports on key HR metrics and trends to senior leadership.

  7. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic HRBP or leadership role.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and influence business strategy.

  • Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and change management.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience with HR metrics and analytics.

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
