Danaher Corporation Finance Director in Shanghai, China

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Head of Finance including direct management responsibility for FP&A and working with LMS Shared Services to ensure proper Internal Controls, Accounting, Tax, Code of Conduct Policy and Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance to local law and regulations, FCPA requirements and Danaher policies

  • Business Partner to both LBS Managing Director- Provide strategic financial analysis, insights to China SU and drive financial discipline in all business decisions

  • Partner China SU Managing Directors to drive sustainable profitable growth and help to drive Financial Objectives set

  • Lead financial analyses, forecasting and planning

  • Responsible for providing financial consultation for business development projects and responsibility for the financial projections and presentations for Budget, Strategic Plan and Quarterly, Monthly Business Reviews or as required

  • To recruit the best, train and develop talent within LBS Finance team

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all LBS China FP&A and commercial financial activities, lead business team and work with LMS Shared Services to ensure solid Internal Controls, Accounting, Tax, Code of Conduct Policy and Compliance, meet 100% high standards in annual internal audit;

  • Partner LBS China GM to manage full P&L and cash flow to drive sustainable profitable business growth. Provide strong commercial/financial decision support to CHINA SU team and ensure financial discipline in business decisions

  • Set financial objectives in CVD, bowlers and track financial performance on regular basis;

  • Responsible for monthly flash reporting, forecast process, weekly sales call to ensure high quality forecast accuracy and monthly financial commitments are met;

  • Lead and organize annual budget process by giving financial guidance, driving review and challenging status quo;

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and advice to business team in strategic planning process and interpret financial implications of business initiatives;

  • Support business team to assess potential financial return (ROIC) of new business opportunities for investment decision making;

  • Overall responsibility of pricing management: provincial tender impact tracking and detailed price target setting. Provide financial consultation to commercial team in designing promotional programs (special rebate programs) accelerating business growth and ensure solid financial and compliance discipline, provide financial support to price negotiation with distributors during tendering processes;

  • Continuously drive standard works and process improvements in financial reporting (LucaNet &SAP) and other business related processes like CME application, distributor data reporting and analysis, iBuy,

  • Provide financial consultation in designing sales incentive plan and special rewarding program;

  • Support global PSI process, review and challenge funnel, demand forecast;

  • Assist China DX Platform CFO on standard works of forecast, budget and DOA setup.

  • Lead ad hoc projects in local through coordination with Danaher IA, Tax, LBS/MMT global finance and other external stakeholders: company registration change, transfer pricing, etc.

  • Formulate Service Level Agreement with LMS and drive fulfilment of service level by LMS Shared Service

  • Lead the monthly closing activities (coordinate with LMS Shared Service for financial accounting), such as gather inputs, perform data analytics, prepare the management review deck

  • Drive adoption of standardized reporting, analytics and data management

  • Formulate dashboards, benchmarking and other analytics to proactively alert the organization about performance and issues.

  • Document Standard Works, Drive Continuous improvements, ensure 100% internal controls and SOX compliance if applicable and always challenge status quo

  • Review and Challenge Funnel, Demand Forecast & Financial Forecast by Business

  • Drive Distributors (via Operations) to collect and analyse In market Sales, Distributor Inventory accuracy and reporting

  • Oversight responsibility in Pricing analysis & Pricing Targets

  • Recruit the best, motivate and develop Finance Team in China

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree / ACCA (> 13 years’ experience) with CPA

  • Strong Integrity and Technical Skills

  • Excellent Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Independent and experience in Building a team

  • Strong in Internal Controls and able to build Standard works and process re-engineering

  • Experience in managing a Commercial Operations of >US$100M

  • Strong in Business Partnering & financial planning and analysis (for Commercial Operations)

  • Experience in managing and coordination with Shared Service Center (including understanding of Compliance, Tax, Audit and Financial Accounting)

  • Excellent systems skills- MS office, SAP BW/ Business Objects and SAP rollout/design experience

  • Cognos, TM1, Qilkview, Lucanet or any Reporting/ Planning tool experience
