What you’ll do:
-Work in partnership with global and regional business stakeholders to support the execution of the Global Trade strategy for Mainland China, Taiwan and Hongkong.
-Serve as single point of contact for all import and export trade related matters in China distribution center, HK and Taiwan-Manage activities of customs brokers to ensure timely border clearance. Manage US-China duty exclusion program for china distribution center, maximize the duty avoidance of US origin imported material Maintain and publish operational metrics relevant to China operations -Lead process changes of broker change, 2-step import process etc. for china distribution center
-Supporting the increasing exports from China to oversee countries
-Support regional Compliance and duty management programs including (but not limited to) import/export operations, import and export classification, relevant Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Valuation, and other programs
-Train regional business partners on relevant trade related topics
-Apply for various Government permits where needed to facilitate seamless exports and imports.
-Support the china distribution and HK, Taiwan businesses on Customs audits and/or any other relevant government agency inquiries.
-Conduct business reviews with regional stakeholders on an ongoing basis to drive continuous improvement; Ensure corrective actions are implemented, when necessary
-Support cross-functional initiatives with Tax, Legal, Logistics, IT, Global Security, Warehouse, Plant and Finance teams to provide strategic input into supply chain decisions
-Support business escalations and strategic initiatives
Who you are:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-Minimum of 5 years of import/export operations and/or trade compliance experience specific to China
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
-Experience supporting both import and export regulatory compliance programs -Knowledge of import/export operational process and customs requirements
-Working knowledge of import license of animal components and biological related products
-Ability to communicate (verbal, written) effectively in English across multiple levels; Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems and supports root-cause analysis
-Ability to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize and be adaptable
-Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures-Experience working in the healthcare industry preferred Six sigma and/or lean experience preferred
