What you’ll do

  • Provide legal and compliance support for businesses in Greater China region

  • Analyze, revise, edit, approve, create, prepare and/or negotiate commercial contracts to reflect current or changing business or legal needs

  • Assess risks associated with particular contract provisions. Provide alternative contract language or provisions to allow for appropriate development of business practices & procedures

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to the contract templates, contract review process, including optimizing contract approval process and identifying, developing and implementing best business practices

  • Support to foster strong compliance culture in China and mitigate compliance risks. Coordinate and organize compliance risk assessment, compliance communications campaigns and other compliance initiatives

  • Provide legal and compliance training to the organization

  • Collaborate with lawyers in other affiliated companies and with global legal & compliance team

Who you are

  • Minimum 8 10 years of legal and compliance work experience, preferably within both multinational company in-house team and prestigious law firm private practice

  • Qualification in the PRC

  • Overseas education, qualification and/or work experience preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required

  • High level of professionalism with strong judgment and commitment to ethical issues

  • Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills and the proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and a good team player
