Danaher Corporation Legal Counsel in Shanghai, China
Description
Provide legal advice to Finance, HR, Sourcing, GA, and other functional teams on various legal matters related to procurement, contracts, labor & employment, privacy, interaction with HCPs, etc.
Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support the team in resolving legal issues and mitigating risks.
C oordinate with associates across platforms and Opcos to ensure the implementation of the Legal & Compliance team’s initiatives and priorities.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to localization process and other Danaher China strategies.
Develop and conduct training to improve internal client’s knowledge on a range of legal and compliance issues.
Manag e claims, disputes, mediations, litigation and arbitrations if assigned to.
Assist the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with significant project developments /matters in a timely manner.
Work closely with global legal & compliance team colleagues to provide efficient, effective legal support.
Key Qualification
Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent, PRC or foreign bar membership is preferred . An LLM o r a JD degree abroad is considered an asset .
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience .
Experience in a reputable law firm is required . In-house counsel experience at a global healthcare company is preferred .
Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, use of contract management policies and tools .
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable interacting with business leaders.
Good presentation skills .
Experience working with cross-functional teams to get the job done .
Fluency in Chinese and English, both orally and in writing .
