Danaher Corporation Product Manager, IB in Shanghai, China

Position Purpose:

As suppliers’ product owner, the product manager of suppliers will take lead to develop and implement suppliers’ product strategy and annual business plans for all kinds of suppliers including consumables, parts, and service, drive business growth above market average.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Actively and effectively manages the overall results of suppliers’ product portfolio which relate to product road maps, product life cycle management, new product development, product P&L including revenue/pricing/profit etc.,

  • Exhibits the company values as a leader to external customers/partners and internal teams, including the sales, global BU team, marketing team; drive the realization of key opportunities for the suppliers’ portfolio.

  • Develops clear and structured analysis based on understanding of market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and regulations, supporting longer-term strategic plans and product innovation roadmap, identifying new growth opportunity, and drives growth for targeted segments.

  • Plays a critical role in reviewing tollgate documents; proactively identifies any issues in keeping the project moving forward and coaches other team members through managing.

  • Leads creation, execution, and analysis of Voice-Of-Customer plans; links prioritized customer needs in price/performance on product lines with focus on future product requirements including enhancements and break through, considering current and future competitive landscape.

  • Delivers training to external (customers, distributors, etc.) and internal (sales, marketing etc.) stakeholders on product of suppliers.

  • Work close with sales to improve consumables retain and regain continuously.

  • Collaborates with global BUs in championing China market requirements and launching products in China, develop product promotion and commercialization plans.

  • Performs other duties as required.

    Education, Background and Skills:

  • Preferred B.S. in a Technical field, particularly in Chemical Engineering or Material Science, MBA preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 5 years Marketing/Product Management/Business Development/Sales experience expected; Preferred experience working for a large multi-national company.

  • Skills required

  • Strong economic and logic thinking to capture and develop value proposition.

  • Effective personal time management and ability to multi-task & strong project management skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive consensus through leadership within cross function team –including Sales, R&D, Procurement, Production, Logistic and Legal.

  • Track record in driving commercial results in technical B2B industry, working with the sales force and channel partners.

  • High energy, proactive, people-oriented, and results-oriented approach to work and learning.

  • Solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Fluent language skills (both written and verbal) in Mandarin and English;

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
