Danaher Corporation Senior MarCom Manager in Shanghai, China

  • Branding:

  • Adopt the global branding elements/asset and customize to comply local regulatory requirement, responsible for excellence of local execution, for example Women Journey, brand building with hospitals and end customers through events, publications, brand reminders, etc.

  • Enhance brand awareness in potential and current customer groups via digital marketing and all other communication channels.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

  • Support promotions, events, customer retention programs, etc.;

  • Create and distribute marketing messages, for example newsletters, to target customers.

  • Media and Public Relations:

  • Align with HQ media and PR policies, and translate into local execution;

  • Cultivate relationships with professional associations/societies as well as trade relations;

  • Manage day-to-day product PR to support product release, application articles, and editorial requests;

  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar and look for opportunities where company could submit relevant articles or product updates;

  • Manage product inquiries and leads generated by Marcom activities, filtering and cascading down the high-potential opportunities to sales team;

  • Provide strategic/tactical direction for product promotional initiatives

  • Plan and review of Marcom activities and expenses:

  • Keep good track on the Market Development focus and marketing plan;

  • Monitor the dashboards, SFDC monitoring and metrics to understand Marketing activities’ business impact, for field based marketing, and dynamic resource allocation (DRA) needs;

  • Review marketing activities regularly to secure ROI from Marcom expense. Make adjustment of activities according to local requests, market focus, and expense limitations.

  • Trade shows/events:

  • Manage and coordinate all logistics for trade shows and events, spanning from booth space selection to show services: labor, freight, conduct onsite supervision of set up and dismantle at larger shows, distribute pre-show packages to all staff, and hold preshow meetings where appropriate; Staff company booth or exhibit at trade shows and community fairs;

  • Continue to evaluate and update booth/displays to ensure most favorable product/brand perception;

  • Maintain the latest advances in display graphics, design and flow, and ensuring ROI reviews to maximize the impact of event spending;

  • Produce all associated promotional materials surrounding events including pre- and after-events where appropriate;

  • Create event reports and distribute to sales and marketing team with information of collected competition data and customer leads, etc;

  • Other assignments from management


    • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in Marcom/branding

    • Minimum of 2 years of digital marketing or social media marketing

    • Industry experience in healthcare, medical device or pharmaceuticals is a plus

    • Fluent in English and Chinese


    • BA/BS required

    • MBA preferred


  • Must be able to travel up to 20% 25% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.

  • Typical work related travel assignments range 3-5 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.
