Summary Purpose of the Position:

  • Responsible for the efficient, effective and customer focused operation of the Order to Cash process with a focus on customer order intake, order management, backlog management, monthly shipment target achievement, and billing.

  • In cooperation with the Asia Pacific Supply Chain team, manage demand and inventory planning.

  • Responsible for the efficient operation of all local distribution centers and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, leadership, and support for the Commercial Operations (ComOps) organization .

  • Align the organization to business unit and customer r equirements

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure KPIs (Monthly shipment #’s, clean order entry, OTD, QIT, etc.) are measured , managed and communicated.

  • Achieve optimal freight and warehousing spend at Pall DCs or with outsource partner as appropriate.

  • Develop employees in the function to ensure high levels of performance, motivation, and engagement.

  • Ensure the organization aligns with the finance function to drive AR process and manage DSOs.

  • Align with, support, and ensure compliance with all applicable global policies and processes.

  • Manage the functional budget as assigned.

  • Ensure the safety of employees, customers, and other internal partners within the assigned working areas.

  • Perform other duties as required

Position Competencies: (Functional Skills, Knowledge and Abilities)

  • Strong people manager with team leadership skills. Conflict management and problem-solving skills

  • Building collaborative relationships and strategies with customers, internal partners, team members

  • Consultative – able to interface with senior level decision makers and internal partners.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Pall’s business model and financial measures.

  • Clear communicator with strong verbal and writing skills in English and any local language. Additional language skills would be an advantage.

  • Able to motivate and influence without Direct Authority.

  • Negotiation skills (internal and external)

  • Cultural knowledge and sensitivity

Technical or Product Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary customer service, supply chain, fulfilment, and distribution practices.

  • Understanding of SAP Quote to Cash module, WMS, Advance XL knowledge

  • Demonstrated success in the implementation of process improvement methodologies.

  • Filtration science, familiarity with filtration and separation devices and methods a plus.

  • Fluent in English and native level of Japanese.

Education and Certification Required:

  • Undergraduate technical or business degree. Masters level education is preferred.

Work Experience Required:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in business-to-business supply chain, customer service, distribution and/or fulfilment.

  • Commercial and/or functional experience in an industrial environment is preferred.

  • Managing 15+ cross country direct team members and multiple cross functional higher-level stakeholders
