Position Objective

  • Directly lead the >20-person sales team in Japan to achieve the annual operating plan

  • Work with APAC FTAP leadership to develop and execute the growth strategy to outperform market growth

  • Coordinate with other functions, including Project Sales, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Coach and lead sales team on proper sales planning and execution through CRM tools, Pall commercial standard work such as funnel management, and sales action plans.

  • Mentor team members on value selling and strategic account management

  • Serve as BU champion for the top FTAP accounts in Japan and lead focused account growth

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for establishing and achieving the sales projections, both short and long-term (3 year plan)

  • Meet management reporting requirements including orders, sales, and margin forecasts, monthly/quarterly sales updates, pricing, new product revenue, etc. as required

  • Liaison with the regional / global leaders and key account managers as required

  • Develop and grow relationships with strategic accounts / distributors

  • Cultivate good networking with Pall senior management and decision makers in the region

  • Liaison with Global Engineering and Manufacturing, where necessary

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent by experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and sales management

  • Broad technical knowledge with engineering background is preferred

  • Understanding of chemical or refining market is preferred

  • Experience and history of using marketing automation systems, SAP, and CRM databases

  • Fluent in English

  • Native level of Japanese
