About the role:
This is a fully remote position that will be dispatched from your home office. This home-based role should be located in Northern Virginia, central Maryland, or surrounding area (within a 60-mile circumference of DC). This position will support the customer base in Northern Virginia. Multiple locations have been listed for marketing purposes but only one position is available.
Join our team and lead regional customer support activities. In a company-provided vehicle, drive to various customer sites to perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation for Hach process and laboratory instrumentation! This role will have 50-75% travel and overnight stays at any of our approved hotels on average 2 nights/week.

Foster a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems
Build and deliver timely, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure
Follow safe work practices according to company policy
Orchestrate pre-call planning, service scheduling routing, and visit requirements efficiently working together with and by the direction of the Field Service Manager/ Dispatch team
Coordinate with manager and materials handlers to determine appropriate replacement parts inventory, effective utilization of parts, and maintain accurate inventory records
Accomplish customer demands by working overtime and a flexible schedule as business needs require
Are you qualified:
Associates/technical degree preferred or combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Preventative Maintenance (PM), diagnostics & repair on core products as required.
1-2 years field service work desirable
Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
