Danaher Corporation Business Manager in Singapore, Singapore

Role: Business Manager

Location: Singapore

The Business Manager will be responsible for the daily management of Cepheid’s relationships with our distribution partner in Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and help them to achieve their sales plan for their respective territory and the aggregate sales plan of Cepheid for that region. The role of managing distribution partner relationships will be both strategic and tactical, to include but not limited to: contract and price negotiations, contract addendums, compliance to master agreement, support of Cepheid sales strategies to maximize sales and growth, development and implementation of market specific sales and marketing strategies, coordination of training activities, fostering of positive working relationships between Cepheid and distribution partner sales teams, and integration of distributor partners with Cepheid resources and potentially building a strong go to market strategy for the assigned territory


  • Measure sales performance of distributors against the plan

  • Refine market assessment and visibility

  • Provide support to key customers (in collaboration with distributors)

  • Recommend and execute actions in case of finding negative gap.

  • Ensure the business within the assigned territory is managed and done in a compliant way and any deviation observed should be reported

  • To work with regulatory team of channel partner with Cepheid RA to align and fast track the RA process

  • To have and build strategic vision for the territory for the next 3 years highlighting challenges and possible ways to succeed

  • Work with distribution partners/ eventually cepheid team to manage and grow Cepheid business in all healthcare markets including, but not limited to, regional and local reference laboratories, large multi-specialty clinics, women’s clinics, other physician office laboratories, community healthcare clinics, college and university student health centers, long term care facilities, STD clinics, urgent care/walk-in clinics, jails and prisons, public health laboratories, hospitals and free standing emergency departments.

  • Manage forecasting, pricing, and contract negotiations.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors.

  • Report results, ongoing issues, market insights, strategies, tactics, and feedback to management.

  • Working closely with various cross functions like service, support, operations, Finance


  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.



High school degree with 8+ years of experience OR

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR

Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience


  • The successful candidate must have a minimum 12 years of sales management and/ or marketing experience, managing a team and worked in distribution driven/ direct company operation

  • Experience in healthcare industry required and in in-vitro diagnostics or medical devices field preferred

  • The candidate needs to be proficient in spoken and written English, other languages will be a plus

  • The position will be based out of Singapore

  • She / he must be a self-starter, intellectually agile, organized, possess and entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to capture the imagination of others to achieve their goals.
