Danaher Corporation Director, Medical Affairs Southeast Asia Region in Singapore, Singapore
This post provides critical clinical insight, combined with deep experience in laboratory testing, to advise Cepheid on technologies and strategies in Southeast Asia region including Singapore Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The Director will play a critical role in interfacing with Cepheid Global and Southeast Asia marketing teams and directly with customers to help define the next generation of Cepheid products for Singapore Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and in design and managing clinical studies of current and incipient Cepheid products. The Director will work closely with the Medical Affairs teams globally to provide input to product development and strategy for the company regarding new applications of Cepheid technology The Director will engage with global and local Marketing groups to help identify key opinion leaders and shape messaging. The Director will present Cepheid technology in various formats (oral presentations, written Med/Sci Affairs documents, publications, webinars, videos, etc.) to all stakeholders, including internal groups such as Sales, Marketing, Tech Support, etc. and external groups such as regional, national, and international scientific meetings, customers, and prospective customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and oversee studies to demonstrate new attributes of existing products
Work closely with the Medical Affairs/marketing group to provide input to product development and strategy for the company regarding new applications of Cepheid technology
Interact directly with customers with regard to product performance queries, discrepant results, technical consultations and off-label enquiries.
Review documents for Quality or Regulatory submissions as needed to satisfy Regulatory body requirements
Prepare or review customer-facing documents including Guidelines and Technical Bulletins, product inserts, and training materials
Write or assist in writing articles for publication
Engage with Clinical Affairs to optimize clinical trials activities
Engage with Marketing to help identify KOLs and shape messaging
Provide lab-based experience to assist R&D and Core Teams at all stages of assay development
Identify and enlist input from experts in the field
Give presentations on behalf of Cepheid at meetings and webinars around the world
Assess potential safety risks for diagnostic tests and contribute to risk management assessments
Assess potential safety and adverse events related to Cepheid products
Serves as key contact for input and interpretation of issues that impact product performance and reliability with ongoing studies.
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time
Education and Experience (in years):
MBBS with Clinical Microbiology and/or Infectious Disease training is required
Doctoral degree in Microbiology or M.D. degree, with postdoctoral medical microbiology or infectious diseases fellowship; 3- 5+ years of public health and/or industry experience in diagnostic or pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge and skills:
Direct diagnostic laboratory experience is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
Good access to KOLs and relevant advisory groups in Singapore and surrounding countries
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including domestic and international ones.
