Production Supervisor, AssemblyOverview
Responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals. Controls production activities, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules of the assigned production line(s). Ensures compliance of standards. Responsible for the management and supervision of the assigned production line(s). Lead a team comprising individual professional to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
Responsibilities
Plan and organizes manpower and equipment to maximize productivity to meet production targets, included redeployment and OT management
Lead the team and work closely with supporting departments to meet production KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory & Productivity), included Absorption
Chair the DM of SQDIP and Build Plan at Gemba
Lead & resolve material issues (quality or availability) with the respective engineers or buyers
Drive the daily top technical issues closure with engineers
Ensures Good documentation (GDP) is followed within the production
Institute continuous improvement culture to improve the quality of workmanship standards
Maintain work area 5S & safety
Maintain equipment and tools calibration
Supervises co-ordinates and monitors the performances of employees under charge.
Induct new hire and conducts performance appraisal for employees and is responsible for making decision on termination, promotion, upgrading etc.
Develops and implements training programs to improve performance of employees. Ensures employees training compliance.
Lead in lean and continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Comply and adhere to the regulatory and company Quality and EHS requirement.
Assists production manager in achieving goals and efficiency
Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production problems
Review build plan to make decision on resource deployment, inventory requirements, and work closely with Planner to meet the sale orders
Requirements
Minumum Diploma or equivalent / Technical certification with supervisory experienced
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a medical device company with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice
Proficient in MS Office
