The Senior Commercial DBSL is responsible for promoting and leading the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) within Leica Biosystems (LBS) in APAC (APAC exclude China). The position is a key business partner who is results driven with a strong and proven ability to drive effective use of DBS tools. The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced practitioner of continuous improvement and have an understanding of Commercial concepts with the ability to apply those in a complex and fast paced environment.
In the APAC (Excluding China) region and globally aligned, support the development of a Growth Commercial roadmap linking business strategy to DBS
In the APAC (Excluding China) region, leverage DBS Fundamentals combined with business knowledge and key commercial processes such as Funnel Management, Transformative Marketing, and Growth Rooms/Daily Management to achieve goals.
Develop and visually drive execution of the Kaizen funnel, DBS Certified Practitioner funnel, and DBS Commercial learning/training plan to Leica Biosystem’s associates in the APAC (Excluding China) region.
Lead/coach the APAC (Excluding China) commercial leadership and teams to install and drive good daily management (DM) and ensure a problem-solving culture using the problem-solving process (PSP) to find root cause and countermeasure for driving/delivering growth plans.
Support building DBS Capability in the APAC (Excluding China) region within the Growth Commercial and Fundamental pillars to ensure long term sustainment using the Commercial Engine, HVC, and Commercial Playbook, to identify improvement opportunities and drive action plans for the prioritized improvement areas.
Lead Regional Sales, BU, Service and Marketing leaders to deploy, improve, and sustain standard work for key Sales, Service, BU and Marketing processes, including, for example, Sales & Marketing Funnel Management, Sales Engagement, Market Visibility & Segmentation, Digital Marketing, Lead Management/Qualification, Growth Rooms, Pricing, Service Excellence, Customer Journey Management, and Direct and Indirect Sales Effectiveness/Conversion.
Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching in the APAC (Excluding China) region. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (DHR DBSO, outside sources). Improve DBS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others. Identify, coach, evaluate and approve other associates for tool certification.
Hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. Is customer focused and possesses strong interpersonal and communications skills. Rapidly adapts to Danaher’s culture and gains the confidence of the Danaher organization. Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, everchanging environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.
BS or BA Degree in Business or equivalent
5+ years of experience in sales training, sales excellence, or field sales in related industries with demonstrated success in a global environment.
Ability to analyse commercial capabilities, identify root cause and growth tool opportunities; has the skills necessary to be seen as credible by peers and managers in commercial areas
Knowledge and experience of applying of key DBS Fundamental (i.e., Daily Management, 5S, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement, Kaizen, Problem Solving).
Hands-on experience of DBS Tools e.g. ability to identify, plan, execute and sustain on kaizens.
Ability to work cross-functionally in the implementation of the DBS roadmap and implement key growth initiatives; successfully drives change, handles conflict / ambiguity in a diverse, regional work environment. Experience managing people indirect and/or projects.
Superior skills in communications, training / adult learning, consulting / influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures
Demonstrated proficiency in time management, action plan development, and execution
Demonstrated successful DBS experience.
Experience developing strategic plan initiatives and in year execution (Policy Deployment, Commercial Engine)
Ideally familiar with driving change in regulated environments (e.g., FDA)
Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training and facilitation environments
Hands-on experience implementing DBS (or TPS) in a line Leader role
