Overview
Responsible for directing and managing the Incoming Inspection activities and First article inspection.
Responsible for supplier quality and developing improvement plans with supplier to improve quality performance and address quality deficiencies.
Responsibilities
Qualify new supplier who are supplying the critical component or/and critical and special processes in ensuring the desire output is consistently meeting product requirement.
Perform routine supplier audit to ensure that quality standards comply with the customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Issue SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request), following up with supplier on CAPA and perform effectiveness review.
Perform on site supplier visits to resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
Review and manage supplier performance metrics (KPIs) for continuous improvement.
Oversee Incoming Inspection activities and manage resources to meet key performance indicators.
Establishes and implements product / part inspection methods, sampling plans, quality levels and defect classification.
Establishes and implements a comprehensive gauge repeatability and reproducibility program in accordance with internal and external quality standards.
Monitor tools and equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration.
Particpate in material disposition of non-conforming materials.
Induct new hire and conducts annual staff performance appraisal and makes recommendations for promotion/upgrading/termination and dismissal.
Keep abreast of DBS tools, such as 5S, DMP, SW, and TPI to drive continuous improvement with sustainable results.
Adhere to company EHS requirements, regulations and risk assessments and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others.
Requirements
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent applicable experience.
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in an assembly operations/engineering environment.
Possess knowledge of various statistical control method and background in QMS ISO 9001. Familiar with ISO13485, USFDA QSR/cGMP (21 CFR Part 820) and ISO14971 for medical devices is a plus.
Computer literacy in MS Office modules and Lotus Notes.
Language proficiency in English and Chinese.
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of Inspection Methods, Equipment and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of measurement techniques and principles.
