Position: Sr. Technical Sales, Life Sciences

Reports to: Sales Supervisor - Life Sciences

Position Summary: Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is looking for a Sr. Technical Sales, based in Singapore. This role would require the person to be accountable for promoting the complete product lines, including automations, genomics, flow, and centrifuge (both instruments & Consumables) to customers directly in Singapore; Exploring and driving business opportunities in SEA countries outside Singapore, e.g. Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei; Building competent & effective distributor channels in the above countries in order to achieve annual sales targets and KPI

Responsibilities:

  • Sell directly and drive business Flow, Automation, Genomics, Centrifuges (Instruments & Consumables) in Singapore in order to achieve sales target for both revenue and profit.

  • Provide technical solutions of instrumentations and reagents to customers

  • Develop clinical & research key accounts to reach their maximum potential by promoting the entire product range in conjunction with assistance from other sales & product Specialists, Customer Service, Service Department and Senior Management.

  • Work with commercial marketing team to drive regional & local promotional activities

  • Funnel management for direct sales and distributor sales on SFDC

  • Submit monthly report, activity plan and sales forecast on time.

  • Implement and Support related responsibilities assigned by direct manager.

  • Participate and support in the quality system of organization.

  • Interact with specialists in the Business Unit to achieve process improvements for our customers and applications team. Observe and advise management on the nature and extent of our competitor’s activities.

Qualification:

Education: B.Sc. degree or above preferably in molecular biology, cell biology, biomedical or equivalent

Working Experience: 5+ Years experiences in life sciences / lab testing / clinical / biopharma industry

Skills

  • Ability to manage key sales accounts with good communications with different levels of customers (end users, lab managers, PI / CEO)

  • Experiences in handling tenders and customer quotations/contracts in Singapore independently

  • Strong market senses and business knowledges in life sciences/lab test industry in Singapore

  • Ability to discover and close deals of projects/opportunities in Singapore and SEA

  • Distributor management skills preferred especially in the above SEA countries

  • Good presentation skills

  • Good communication skills in English

  • Knowledge and experiences of instruments and reagent products

  • Mature and with Good teamwork

  • Sales driven and target-oriented

  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Fast learner with new ideas

  • Customer oriented

  • Positive attitudes and energetic

  • Confident in facing competitions

  • Resilience in changing business environments

  • Strong teamwork with different depts and across organizations

  • Self-disciplines with good time management and work independently

Preferred Skills:

  • Working experience in lab, in MNC, or distributor companies with regular interaction with MNC

  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Funnel management in SFDC

  • Business development in SEA

  • Good Communication skills in Chinese

Travel Requirement: In long term, this position might require travel to SEA region (30%).
