Danaher Corporation Technician II (Mid-Shift) in Singapore, Singapore
- To ensure manufactured products can ship within the promised time frame and with 100% Quality Control (QC).
Perform synthesis, cleavage (from solid support) and deprotection of oligonucleotides.
Operate DNA synthesizers and other instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks listed above.
Assist in the processing and documentation of all orders and projects.
Keep all the reagent bottles, pressurized gas cylinders, and manifold liquid systems at levels to achieve successful operation.
Operate various spectrophotometers and liquid handling equipment to quantify and formulate oligos to customers’ specifications.
Interpret QC results and recognize when failures warrant further investigation.
Check-in finished product to the Shipping department.
Perform the purification, desalting, concentration, quantification and QC sampling of oligonucleotides.
Perform NHS ester labeling, manual detritylation of oligonucleotides when required.
Operate HPLC’s and other instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks listed above.
Change waste containers and dispose of waste material.
Assist in responding to chemical spills.
Perform all necessary decontamination procedures.
Appropriately document all aspects of production.
Fill out all required checklists and perform verification for others when necessary.
Follow all work instructions.
Report any problems to supervisor or Management.
Receive additional training throughout company
Perform other duties as specified by management.
Practice safe working habits, follow all IDT safety policies, perform safety checks on equipment and systems, and identify, correct, and report potential safety hazards.
Be aware of IDT’s policy on and contribute to quality and environmental management by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001 standards and internal procedures and work instructions.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in science related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience required.
Must have the ability to learn and understand the basic aspects of the oligonucleotide manufacturing process.
Must be comfortable working with chemicals and follow proper safety and handling instructions.
