The opportunity

The Territory Manager actively promotes and sells Pall Laboratory’s products to new and existing customers and channel partners. The incumbent is customer focused and builds value by driving territory plans and high levels of effective customer activity; and therefore increases market share, achieves competitive differentiation and profitable growth for Pall.

Essential job functions

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities from key accounts, while onboarding and optimally leading channel partners

  • Strategically grow the existing customer base and build close customer relationships to identify Pall business potential and new business opportunities within the designated region

  • Create and implement effective customer plans for assigned accounts Including Sales Potential, Opportunities, Operating Structure, Sites, Contacts, and Other Information to achieve target

  • Prepare & complete weekly call plans, meeting plans & associated customer visit reports to meet agreed sales projections manage sales funnel via CRM

  • Understand the customer needs & expectations and subsequently provide technical solutions to customers and utilise Sales Tools, such as Product Information, Pall Website, Customer Presentations and Application data

  • Provide Business Analysis Including Trend Data, Customer Retention and Development and other Activities as Required

  • Track Competitor Activity and provide differentiation to gain market share

  • Draw on Available Resources as needed to achieve regional, market, product or account specific objectives

  • Collaborate with industry contacts and other Pall business units to discover and develop new customer leads. Conduct / attend seminars, training, morning teas, trade conferences, etc.

  • Perform Other Duties as the need arises

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in a scientific supply or technical sales company

  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and practices in Life Science research (e.g. cell culture, protein purification) is essential

  • Knowledge of practices in any of the following areas/industries will be well regarded:- Pharmaceutical QA/QC laboratory- Microbiology laboratories- Environmental testing/occupation health and safety laboratories

  • Competitive knowledge of filtration is a plus; able to differentiate Pall’s capabilities vs the competition
