Danaher Corporation Project Manager (New Product Development) Diagnostics in Solna, Sweden
Cepheid is a leading molecular diagnostics' company that is dedicated to improving healthcare by developing, manufacturing, and marketing accurate yet easy-to-use molecular systems and tests. In our facilities in Solna we develop and manufacture diagnostics tests that improve patient outcome all over the world.
This past year, our Solna site has expanded and doubled in size, and we are now continuing our journey of growth in search of a Project Manager for our New Product Development.
In this role you will get the opportunity to lead and coordinate all phases of global and cross-functional program or portfolios for assays and reagents from inception through completion. Team-working with scientists, engineers and many other functions in a matrix organization to gather technical knowledge and expertise for driving the projects will be key for success. There are two major aspects of the role:
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and achievements from a customer as well as organizational perspective
Define, measure and communicate project progress to leadership functions.
Identify, prevent and manage risks
Supervise and ensure timely delivery of project achievements
Develop full scale project plan including project tasks and resource requirements
Participate in development and continuous improvement on ways of working for project execution and talent development
Participate in strategic initiatives to strengthen competencies
Contribute to improvement and implementation of cross functional internal processes
Act as a resource and mentor to less experienced colleagues
We believe that the ideal candidate has an academic degree within Life Sciences or Engineering, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a medical device or biotechnology company. This in combination with proven leadership strengths, having worked in an environment where you have had to showcase problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to project execution, will set you up for best possible success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Project, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, Excel) is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated competencies in team building, influencing, and team management.
Comfortable addressing and communicating with cross-functional groups at multiple levels of corporate structure.
Strong in decision-making.
Proficient in English, preferably also Swedish.
