The Technical Lead is responsible for the overall technical management of the new project, design inputs and outputs, design verification, identify technical resource requirements, and design documentation for new and improved products developed within the framework of the company’s development plans.
This position is part of the Assay R&D team and will be located in Solna, Sweden. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead the R&D project team, evaluate the workload and coordinate work within the project.
Oversee that the activities are performed according to current guidelines and regulations and create and update project related documents in document control systems.
Provides competence to the department by suggesting improvements, reporting deviations etc.
Actively contribute to achievement of goals in the project, department, and company
Work together with different departments to ensure that the project fulfills the predefined requirements and that results are available according to the set timeline
Makes decisions within the project and advises R&D management and Core Team
The essential requirements of the job include:
University degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience.
High-level knowledge about molecular biology and detailed knowledge about PCR including assay development and optimization.
Experience in communicating and ability to lead one or more teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent ability to structure, delegate, organize and prioritize work.
To be successful in this role it requires leadership skills and in depth understanding of state-of-the-art science and technology development in the industry as well as technical expertise.
The individual shall also be able to take a new perspective on existing solutions, based on the analysis of multiple source information. All tasks should be performed with high quality and within timelines. The individual is also expected to act cross-functional as a resource and support one or several projects.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
PhD with at least 5 years of work experience in the relevant industry.
Interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders to a sustainable long-term product development.
Knowledge of applicable regulations.
This position is a temporary position due to parental leave 2024.10.01 – 2025.06.30.
