We are looking for a Field Applications Specialist with strong knowledge of control systems to work with our expert Bioprocess Chromatography Hardware team of 15 employees across the United States and Canada. What you’ll do

  • Support our Customers, Bioprocess Chromatography Hardware Sales Specialists, and Account Managers

  • Provide expert technical and product knowledge during the sales process by demonstrating superior product, automation, and application knowledge for our bioprocess hardware and software.

  • Support customer purification and manufacturing projects by providing product and applications information, answering inquiries, giving presentation, assist with logistics, and provide limited bench work.

  • Solve automation challenges customers experience with our products

  • Help customers integrate our equipment into their automation and historian infrastructure

  • Accountable to the BP Hardware Modality for performance of Zone sales goals; work with your assigned area sales team to meet and/or exceed these sales goals.

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver product training to Customers, Account Managers, and Sales Specialists on products and applications within assigned region.

  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention through troubleshooting and continuing education on application of our products on customer processes.

  • Maintain good communication with customers and gather information on the customers' needs, relaying that information to the sales force in order to identify present and future customer needs and to enhance customer relations, where applicable.

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and seminars.

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer account sales strategies.

  • Provide competitive product insight and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs to internal stakeholders.

  • Communicate regularly with Modality Leader and Sales Specialist team to ensure coverage of pre and post-sale customer support and training.

Who you are

  • Must have 3-5 years of Engineering or Scientific experience in a Biotech, Pharma, Engineering, Commercial manufacturing, or Academic lab environment.

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Science (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry)

  • Strong working knowledge of Control systems and Instrumentation

  • Hands on purification experience using AKTA instrumentation, UNICORN software, DeltaV, and Historians is desirable.

  • Extensive Unicorn/text editing practical experience is desirable.

  • Skilled at Time Management and know how to prioritize multiple projects in a professional setting.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Polished Presentation Skills; know how to read an audience during a presentation, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a Cytiva owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within specified geographic region, as well as occasional international for select purposes in support of customers and nationwide sales meetings and tradeshows.
