Linx, a leading global provider of coding and marking solutions for date and batch coding of products and packaging across manufacturing industries, is seeking a PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & MARKETING DIRECTOR to drive share and revenue growth through global product management, direct and indirect channel marketing, sales enablement, marketing communications, brand management, and strategic planning.

Linx’s continuous inkjet printers, laser coders, impulse jet printers, and thermal transfer overprinters apply primary and secondary codes onto products in a wide range of manufacturing sectors, wherever product identification codes, batch numbers, use-by dates and barcodes are needed. Linx is also one of the leading providers of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions in coding and marking, which includes cloud computing and analytics, to support Industry 4.0 initiatives and the future of the smart factory.

Linx joined Danaher in 2005 and employs approximately 330 associates globally across 3 main office locations in Cambridge UK, Paris (Courcouronnes) France and Shanghai China.

Our ideal PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & MARKETING DIRECTOR will:

Be responsible for accelerating our understanding of Linx’s geographic and vertical markets, in order to drive global growth and share gain across Linx’s product lines. The PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & MARKETING DIRECTOR will take ownership of VOC across the entire organization, as well as the development of the 5-year product roadmap to meet customer needs.

Be responsible for developing the marketing strategy and driving revenue growth through channel and direct marketing. Additionally, the Marketing Director will lead the annual strategic planning process for Linx.

In your main role at Linx, you will:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to a direct team of 20 associates and a regional matrixed team, attract top talent, and align capabilities with current and future business needs while driving a culture of accountability and ownership in the team.

  • Lead the development of the annual strategic plan for Linx by facilitating the process, seeking input, collating insights and aligning internal stakeholders across geographies and functions.

  • Develop and coordinate ongoing VOC efforts for the organization.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the market, direct and emerging competitors, technology trends, and emerging applications. Identify and prioritize market opportunities for the organization.

  • Oversee product strategy and portfolio roadmap development including digital transformation initiative to have a competitive offering in the marketplace.

  • Act with global mindset incorporating varying geographic needs into portfolio strategy and go to market activities.

  • Ensure all product launches follow the Launch Excellence framework and meet launch targets.

  • Build the Linx brand globally to drive awareness and increase Net Promoter Score.

  • Generate revenue through channel and direct digital marketing.

  • Manage marketing budget to ensure expense targets are met and forecasted correctly.

  • Cultivate a collaborative partnership across adjacent departments (sales, R&D).

  • Apply Danaher Business System resulting in a lean and efficient commercial organization, and Daily Management/Process Orientation.

Critical Success Factors for the Ideal Candidate Profile are:

  • A flexible and creative professional style with a knack for building relationships, influencing and challenging the status quo.

  • Customer focused mindset with the ability to synthesize market intelligence and VOC to generate strategy.

  • Must have well developed executive presence; ability to lead and manage project teams with a range of experience and skills and engage at the highest executive level in Danaher.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • Minimum of 15 years relevant commercial experience, with a minimum of 5 years marketing experience with industrial products.

  • Demonstrated experience in all stages of product lifecycle from initial opportunity through obsolescence.

  • Clear evidence of developing team members to take on broader assignments and grow their careers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field required.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
