Our ideal Project Manager will:

Be responsible for the initiation, planning, delivery and closure of (i) new product development projects – on time; to specification; to product cost; within planned budget and (ii) product improvement projects whether it be cost reduction or performance improvement. These projects will have small development teams (typically <8 engineers and scientists) but will also involve leadership of company-wide cross-functional teams.

In this role at Linx, you will:

  • Lead development and cross-functional project teams

  • Develop and maintain an integrated schedule, product specification, product cost model, risk assessment, resource plan and budget

  • Lead the execution of the project including tradeoff decisions; identification of risks and issues; problem solving; negotiate and ensure availability of resources.

  • Ensure project compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements

  • Capture the requirements and manage the expectation of key stakeholders

  • Conduct phase toll gate and monthly management reviews

  • Where necessary, on smaller projects, act as product engineer - carrying out product level testing and creating product documentation.

  • Pro-active, relentless and excellent in solving cross functional problems by collaborating with functional leads in Product Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Marketing and Customer Services as well as Engineering.

  • The tenacity and persistence to do what it takes and find a way forward, to not be easily held up by obstacles

  • Technically capable – capable of understanding customer and product technologies

  • Strong motivational leadership with the ability to influence others without direct authority and the ability to instill a sense of urgency within the team

  • Provide clear and unambiguous project goals and deliverables

  • Champion the project, ensuring clarity of vision and effective communication with key stakeholders; using strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ensure that roles and responsibilities are unmistakably understood and agreed upon by all

  • Plan continuously and prioritise ruthlessly

  • Curious and prepared to “learn on the fly” to seek answers

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

  • 5+ years product development experience with extensive cross-functional exposure in a relevant high-tech industry; 3+ years cross-functional project management experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading at least one significant new product development from conception to launch


  • Full UK driving license

  • Some overseas travel may be required

  • Hybrid arrangement with mix of office and remote working
