This Associate Field Service Engineer's primary customer base will be located in the Midwest (mostly Missouri) and is expected to reside in the greater St. Louis, MO area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks

  • Develops knowledge of Sciex products

  • Proficient in performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on CE instruments

  • Performs preventive maintenance and triage repair on select products

  • Assists/mentors with experienced Field Technical/Application resources on installation and repairs

  • Demonstrates and completes all administration duties

  • Maintains own tool and parts inventory to ensure adequate supply

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Prior experience using and/or triage maintenance on capillary electrophoresis or scientific instruments

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to troubleshooting and problem-solving proceduresEffective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and as part of team

  • Ability to learn and work with electrical and electrical mechanical technology

  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist.

  • Exposed to seasonal weather based on geographic region

  • Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols

  • Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying

  • Travel required/Valid Driver's License.

  • Travel by vehicle or airplane within assigned geography, up to 50% overnight travel may be required.

  • Meeting Vendor Credentialing requirements are an essential element of this position.
