This role is based onsite at our location in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Materials & Production Planner is responsible for all aspects of production scheduling and raw material planning of raw material parts in their portfolio to support customer demand. The Planner is top-level owner of the KANBAN ordering process and ensuring any changes to support demand are made.

The selected candidate will be the primary owner of On Time Delivery to the end customer as well overall Inventory Management to support corporate initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Lead all workflow for projects and retain control on same and run an efficient inventory level of all safety stock and review all volume requirements for all production materials.

  • Plan inventory levels and locations and execute all forecasting and planning programs. Analyze demand signals; figure out what needs to be built

  • Analyze manufacturing capacity; determine when items are built

  • Release Work Orders; Publish Manufacturing Schedules

  • Promote problem solving around large On Time Delivery misses daily, work to implement effective countermeasures, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery misses.

  • Be a champion for the material processes. They will lead the problem solving at the point of impact, promote cross functional involvement, and effective countermeasure implementation to support process improvements.

  • This position will work closely with all other material team members in the plant to ensure effective tactical material execution along with On Time Delivery to the end customer. Will be responsible presenting issues across the organization and working effectively to problem solve solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years' experience planning and controlling inventory and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (i.e., KANBAN, Oracle, or similar inventory system)

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Products
